Lazyhead & Sleepybones are coming to town!

Hi friends! We hope you like our latest picture of Lazyhead and Sleepybones! It's taken from our lovely Tails from the Burrow 2011 Calendar. Have you ordered your copy yet? If not, they're available to buy from the Burrow online shop, and would make a splendid Christmas gift!

One of the great challenges of the small press and self-publishing world is that it's very, very difficult to market one's products, however beautiful they may be. We have about 25 calendars left that we really do need to sell before Christmas... So we would greatly appreciate your help in spreading the word about Tails from the Burrow, and recommending our calendars to your friends and family! If you know anybody you think might like our work, please direct them to our website, where they can read all about the calendar and follow Lazyhead and Sleepybones' adventures. Thank you so much! X

Not to be Nommed Until Christmas Day!

Just 17 days to Christmas... But how will the tin of Christmas biscuits Mrs Badger gave Lazyhead and Sleepybones survive until the 25th??

Glögg Glögg Glögg *burp*

Hello Friends of the Burrow!

We hope you are all well. Have you had much snow where you are? We've had quite a bit, but not enough to build snowbunnies yet.

It's Christmas market time here in Sweden! Hopefully tomorrow (Sunday 28th) we'll have a Tails from the Burrow stall at a Christmas market in Lund. If you live locally please come along - it's at Folkets hus from 12 noon to 6pm. We'll be selling our calendars, fanzines and badges. We'll have to check that it's OK to have the little baby monkey there with us first though - we'll let you know if we'll be there for definite via Twitter and Facebook tomorrow morning.

Tomorrow is a very important day in Sweden: it's the day we start drinking GLÖGG, Swedish mulled wine! Nom! We'll have to keep our bottle out of PC Badger's reach though - look what happened last year!

Have a lovely weekend!

Bunny Christmas Gifts

Hello Burrow Friends!
We hope you are all having a nice weekend. We're really looking forward to Christmas this year – it'll be our baby's very first! Have you thought about Christmas presents yet? Well, here's a good idea... Why not buy a Tails from the Burrow calendar or two for your loved ones?! They'd really make a splendid gift!

You can read all about the calendar here. You can buy the calendars from our online Burrow Shop (or if you're in Sweden, they are available at SF Bokhandeln, Malmö and Stockholm branches).

We also have Tails from the Burrow fanzines and badges on sale in the Burrow Shop.

Please tell your friends about Tails from the Burrow (and our 2011 Calendar!), and direct them to our lovely website: www.tailsfromtheburrow.com!

Hugs and best wishes from all at the Burrow x

Big Plans for Little Bunnies

Hello Burrow Pals!

We had a splendid time celebrating our first birthday last week! Thanks so much for all the greetings and kind words. Now it's time to start thinking about the next 12 months...

We have some big plans for those little bunnies of ours! We have a Christmas quiz lined up (your chance to win a piece of original Tails from the Burrow artwork!), and are working on a poem about the time Sleepy and Lazy went fishing (and got caught!), a rhyming recipe comic and a story about a Baby Monkey arriving in Bluebell Woods.

However our big burrow project for the coming months is Filly and the Fox Cubs. It's in its very early stages at the moment, but it's going to be a sing-a-long comic featuring Filly Sox and his band of fox cubs. We'll keep you updated on our progress with that, and will upload sketches and teasers as we go along!

2011 is to be a year of small publications, fairs and festivals for us: we're planning to make some of our new poems into beautiful booklets, and we'll be participating in as many small press, craft and children's book fairs as we can (finances and new baby permitting). Who knows, we may be coming to a town near you. Please get in touch if you know of any events that might suit us in Europe. Don't worry non-European friends, we promise we'll come to see you one day!
